MBBS is the flagship and most sought-after programme. PG admissions are conducted through INI CET — a common entrance test administered by AIIMS for all Institute of National Importance medical colleges.
🎯 Admission Process & NEET Cutoff 2026
Since 2020, AIIMS New Delhi no longer conducts its own entrance exam. Admission to MBBS is entirely through NEET UG, conducted by NTA. After NEET results, candidates participate in centralised counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All India Quota seats.

Step-by-Step Admission Process
- Step 1 — Clear NEET UG: Appear for NEET UG 2026 (May 3, 2026). General category must target top 50 AIR.
- Step 2 — Register with MCC: Register at mcc.nic.in for NEET UG counselling (July 2026).
- Step 3 — Fill Choice & Lock: Fill and lock your college choices. AIIMS New Delhi will be the top preference for most candidates.
- Step 4 — Seat Allotment: Seats allotted based on NEET rank, category, and preference. Results typically in August.
- Step 5 — Report & Document Verification: Report to AIIMS Delhi with all original documents. Complete medical examination and fee payment.
Eligibility Criteria for MBBS
- Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English
- Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB (General/EWS); 40% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD
- Minimum age: 17 years by December 31 of the admission year
- Must have qualified NEET UG with valid scorecard
- No upper age limit as per current NMC guidelines
